Implementing RPL

Brian Spencer, Managing Director Optin Pty Ltd interviewed at the Skills Recognition Conference held by NSW Department of Education and Training in May 2009. Brian speaks of normalising RPL; the importance of making RPL the default option for experienced workers. Rather than asking "if" they have skills suitable or recognition, asking "what" and having appropriate tools available to assessors to determine how much RPL can be confidently given. Tools and processes that remove complexity and uncertainty empower candidates and assessors alike.
